Only authorised staff, signed in on school devices. Parents never see a list of children, not even their own child's record. They type their child's name themselves, and it has to match exactly.
Yes, unless you'd rather they couldn't. If your school asks, we lock staff screens to your own school computers. Either way, every member of staff has their own login, set by your admin, and signs in with two-factor authentication every time, using an authenticator app or a sign-in link sent to their email. Every sign-in and sign-out is recorded, and staff are signed out automatically at the end of the school day.

Yes. Everyone at Ticked Off who works with schools holds an enhanced DBS check, and we never have unsupervised contact with pupils. We're happy for your school to verify this through the DBS Update Service before any visit.
Your model collection policy includes a manual fallback, so collection carries on safely using your existing procedure until the system is back.

When a school stops using Ticked Off, the names and details of its pupils, parents and staff are deleted from our systems.
With Parent Request, three things have to line up. The adult gives the child's name and the family password, which the school gives each family by letter, in person or by email, whichever it prefers. The room releases the child. Then reception checks the three-letter code on the collector's phone before the child leaves. Trusted adults can only be added from the parents' account, using the family password.
A password on its own can't take a child out of school. The room still has to release the child, and reception still has to see the child and match the code on the collector's own phone. Your school decides how passwords reach families: by letter, in person or by email.
A timeline for each of their children, built from checkpoints your staff have confirmed: on the minibus, arrived at school, in prep or club, collected. Parents only see the services your school has switched on.
No. Ticked Off records checkpoints, never a child's location or phone. During a minibus run parents can see where the bus is, and only while the run is under way.
Parents fill in their family's details, but a child is only linked once the school has checked those details against its own records and activated the account.
As cars arrive, the teacher on duty scans each number plate. The rooms are told which children to get ready, in the same order the cars arrived, and each child is ticked into the right car.

Parents pay the school directly, through the school's own Stripe account. They can buy a termly pass (return, mornings only or afternoons only) or book single trips.
Yes. Parents follow the bus live on a map. The location comes from the driver's phone, and a GPS tracker can run alongside it.
The driver ticks each child on and off at every stop, so the school always knows who is on the bus.
For each minibus: MOT, road tax, insurance, servicing, Section 19 permit, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, tyres, defects and daily walk-round checks. For each driver: licence checks, minibus driver training (MiDAS), DBS and first aid.
On a school trip, everyone leaves together and comes back together. At an away match, parents can collect their own child at the ground: they ask on their phone and the teacher checks the code, just like Parent Request at school. Away Matches works with Parent Request.
The register shows straight away who isn't on board, so nobody is left behind unnoticed.
Yes. On away matches the coach is tracked live from the teacher's phone, so parents see where it is and an arrival time based on the traffic. Parents also see each checkpoint, including when the coach is back at school.
Ticked Off was started by Mark Wolstenholme. By day he runs operations at a UK medical-device manufacturer, where every product has to be traceable from raw material to patient. As a parent at a prep school, he asked why a child leaving school isn't recorded with the same care.
